Some of our friends in the ceramic community

Pour Horse Pottery: Pour Horse is home to Joan Berkwitz, mentor to many of us who cast in earthenware and decorate with underglazes.

Minkiewicz Studios:  There are quite a few of Sarah's sculptures on the Gallery pages - they are a favorite!  Recently she's started working in ceramics herself.

Velasquez Artistry:  Addi is another ceramic artist trained in the "Pour Horse School".  (Check out her cool new wildlife pins!)

Laf'n Bear:  Lynn produces her horses in both ceramic and resin.  She also has some really neat cat tiles and ornaments!

General interest model horse sites

Model Horse Sales Pages:  A sales forum, the site also hosts the largest collection of model horse links.

Model Horse Magazine:  Done in the UK in full color, the magazine has wonderful how-to-articles.  (You can download issues directly from the site.)

Realistic Equine Sculpture Society (RESS): promotes realistic equine sculpture and finishwork, offers clinics, seminars and scholarships.

North American Model Horse Shows Association: an organization that promotes model horse showing, as well holding the North American Nationals.

Some causes we support
A portion of our sales are donated to the following organizations

St. Mark's Episcopal Church:  This is the Kathman family's church home.  They also do wonderful things in the North Mecklenburg community where we live.

Loaves and Fishes:  This organization provides Charlotte area families with groceries in times of crisis.

Heifer International:  Ending hunger with sustainable agriculture.  What's not to like about an organization that lets you give your parents a llama for Christmas!

Habitat for Humanity:  Working to end housing poverty.  (Any organization willing to let someone like me hang drywall must be in extreme need!)

Humane Society of Charlotte:  Our dog Emma's former home.
